Many members may not be aware that Net-Portfolio has only been live just over a year and in that time has grown incredibly fast gaining a great community of high level creatives.

Our review system is designed to allow all the chance to come onto the site and then be reviewed later. Often we remove images that are below standard and if the member cannot upload any that are up to scratch the accont is removed.

As the site is so young we have had no need to do a mass clean up of profiles however in light of recent feedback and forum discussions we have ran a clean up of the lower experience level accounts.

Over the last few weeks all profiles over a few months old with no images or had not logged in and were of a low experience level were emailed informing them to log in/upload an image to keep their account active.

Now that ample time has been given to allow these members to return we have run our clean up of the accounts to keep the integrity of the site high.

Accounts were assessed based on many criteria such as number of images uploaded, last login date, number of uses of the mail system to send messages either in reply or composing, experience level etc..

Please note this was not targetted at one account group but all to keep high quality across the board while still allowing even those with no experience a chance to be seen and climb the ladder.

Think this is a good idea as well.

Will any messages sent to the people removed, be deleted automatically from our sent boxes, so we know that comms with them have ceased, or is it easier to post a list that we can all check against

Deactivated profiles when clicked display a message that states the member has left, does not exist or has been removed. To confirm if any member you are waiting for a message from is still active please click their profile name in your inbox.

We will not be disclosing a list of the removed members.
