Topic | tips for a shoot
bellaava
I'm new to the site and have a few shoots lined up, for two of them there is a MUA but the other two there isnt. The shoots with the MUA are after the other two, which means i can't ask the makeup artists for advice or get them to teach me a bit about self-styling for a shoot.

Is there any advice newbies should take into consideration when doing their makeup for a shoot?

Also my hair is naturally curly but i sometimes straighten it. What photographs better, curly or straight?

Thanks
Bella

ask the photographer what he/she wants. Tell them you need strong direction and a clear brief to realise your potential, if they are paying you its in their interests to help you to prepare properly.

The photographer i am working with first actually saw my post and send me some really helpful tips!!

I'm new to modelling so i'm not getting paid yet but thanks for the reply, never hurts to ask them to clarify a bit! Be good when i get an opportunity to work with a photographer a second time, then you already know what eachother is looking for!

Thanks for the advice :)
