Topic | Epson R3000 paper choices

Looking for some views on paper.  My HP B9180 printer has finally bitten the dust, which wasn't really a disappointment as it was a load of carp from day one (mega picky on paper, really bad Windows driver and nasty tramlines on glossy paper) and it's now been replaced with an Epson R3000 which so far is brilliant.

I've been testing a few papers and I've found Ilford Gold Fibre Silk to be stunning, easily better than Hahnemulle Baryta Fine Art and for Matt I've always liked Hahnemulle Photo Rag and this works really well for mono but not so good for colour.  I'm using Epson Ultra Glossy as a proofing paper, it's (relatively) cheap and has profiled well looking incredibly similar to the Ilford paper but is a bit flimsy. I like my paper to be fairly heavy, ideally around 300gsm, makes it easier to charge a premium price for prints!

Please though, all printers are different and something that works well in one doesn't work in another so only post if you have an R3000 or use Epson K3 inks.  I always custom profile using a Spyder Studio SR and this made a huge difference to the Baryta Fine Art taking it from mediocre to very good so please say if you're using a custom ICC.

I'm looking for views on canvas, matt and if anyone has found a better gloss/semi than Ilford Gold Fibre Silk.

Thanks in advance
