I have just started messing about with macro work. I know you can spend loads on lenses but i have been told of the `reverse lens technique` It works well but now i know you can get something called a reverse adaptor ring. Does anyone have one and if so do they connect to the camera or do you have to hold them in place?
Many thanks

Reversing the lens works though ideally you want a lens you could stop down manually Nikon, Canon FD.
Try these guys for adapters www.srbfilm.co.uk
Since your fixing the lens via the filter thread you could use any make of lens (except EOS) on pretty much any body. you may have to shoot manually or in aperture priority.

I have bought a reverse adaptor ring now. Cost me £3 and its metal and not cheap plastic. I use at the moment a 18-55mm lense but i need to manually open the aperture ring. I also have a 50mm fixed lense which has manual aperture which works well. So much easier than trying to hold it in place. Might put some pics on soon.
