Having just opened a new studio to hire a lot of effort has been put into the model preparation area. But the shoot area is only equipped with lights and back drop paper rolls.  
I would be interested in what photographers think are their top 5 items either in special lighting or props that make the working day better or the studio more useful. (tea and coffee are already supplied). I'd also be interested in the 5 worst things in a studio.

Best 5 rolls of gaffa tape... you can never have enough.

Worst 5 rolls of gaffa tape .. models want to use to stick over their nipples.

A few hats are sometimes handy to have!

With a large number of photographers  owning their own basic studio flash maybe look at the the items that on average are relatively expensive vs average use by a single photographer. Possible items could be large Elinchrom Octa or Striplight softboxes(or equivalent fro other manufacturer) with appropriate heads, wind machine, ringflash (studio type NOT the macro)
You could also look at fetish based large props eg St Andrews Cross.

Worst things, cheap coffe & tea, cold in winter, too hot in summer, stairs, no parking, scruffy toilets.

Not in any particular order:
Stool, bench, hats ( previously mentioned ), step ladder, flags ( baffle boards / polyboards ).
