Hello everyone, I'm a newish model done quite a few photo shoots and got a call today asking what i would charge for a shoot. I'v never given a price as tfcd or tfp is fine for me right now but when i do start charging i wouldnt have a clue where to start. I looked around and people are saying lots of diffrent prices. I always thought that i would want pictures and tavel expencies before i asked for money. I wouldnt mind getting paid for shoots but wouldnt want to make a fool of myself by says i'll do it for 10 pound or sound rude by says 60 will do. Could you look at my pictures, they get up dated every week or so depending on my shoots and let me know what you think.
Also due to my area i cant find much work so if anyone has work and would think i have what it takes to do the job, dont hessitate to ask. The furtherst i'v traveled it 200 miles and got paids tfcd (no expencive) but thats my limit without travel paided for.
Thanks and open to ideas and tips.

not sure if I'm any help but rates should be relative to two things, 1 is your experience-until you know how to pose and take instructions really well, don't think of charging, you'll know when you ready 2 what is the shoot for, is the tog shooting for their port or a client.
P.s the second criteria is what I think how it should be, but models ask regardless, if your experience is higher than his maybe you should charge if you both are newbies or on the same level then no money should be involved, if he/she more experienced and good then feel lucky to be considered.
Good luck

Hannah,
There is no harm, whatsoever, in charging if someone offers to pay you, irrespective of your experience...provided you are (and your profile seems quite clear) honest. If a photographer, knowing you have no experience, wishes to pay you then go for it.
Reasonable rates would be in the region of £15ph rising a little for fetish work, depending on what that is.

Thank you for that. I like my portfolio to be hosnet, i dont like edited images only one of my photos is edits (excluding the pictures turned to black and white) as i feel a photograther should know what the model looks like in real rather than an edited picture. 15 pounds sounds like a good rate :) Thanks for the help Hannah

Hi Hannah
I usually pay a model for doing no nudity 25.00 per hour plus travel but this is paid for by my clients. Have they given you any indication of their specification and budget?
I would suggest you look at their portfolio and see if they will will enhance your portfolio.
You also have to consider what your time is worth and do not undersell yourself.
Good luck
