69383 - The rose petal shot is very over done and very few people get it right so already this image loses lustre for me but the selective colouring is a huge no no for me too. It may just be personal taste but that lets it down. Unfortunately the other issue is the horrendous photoshop work on your body, all details has been lost, your whole cleavage has been blended in to your body and your cheek has had so much over smoothing it looks bruised. This may have looked good out of camera but unfortunately the post work killed it.

As a side see an image by RobM of a head shot with petals, absolutely lovely and colourful.

69296 - I like the strong colours on this one, still think your face is a little over smoothed in shop but the strong black hair and the pink back drop makes a nice effect of colour.

71008 - I think the crease created in your back makes this unflattering and as a whole this shot just doesn't work for me.

71009 - Not sure why you classified this art nude? Nice shot, I love the strong pink colour against the white, great choice of colours, lovely smile but again your face looks a little flat. I have been assuming through out this is over shopping work smoothing the skin as this often causes a flat look. As you have no images taken by other photographers I cannot compare. I still like this though, your eyes look nice and wide , the strong hair colour is fabulous and it works for me. Final issue, make this a little more sharper (looks slightly blurred).

You personally are fab, but the editing is absoluley awful.

Totally agree with this comment. I know I am not the best editor in the world, but I take time to get it right in camera.

The editing on some of these pics gives you a "barbie doll" plastic look. Your portfolio should reflect you as that is what a photographer is wanting to hire. I can see what you are trying to do in the rose petal shot, but personally don't think you have enough petals. Selective colouring can work if planned



For reference, my rose petal shot had almost no editing. One spot on the chin of the model and selective increase in the insenity of the colour in her eyes. Does it work, I like it, the model liked it and several others have asked me to recreate it for them

Your "Art Nude" isn't art nude in my view, it is a simple nude. Personally I would want to have cropped it to emphasis your legs and buttocks. Art Nude is about the use of light and shadow and pose to create some mystique in the image (my view of it)

I would suggest you have a good look at other photographers work on here, see whose you like and ask them for a shoot. Get some better images, scrap these ones and replace them, but do appreciate that you might need to pay the photographer

thanks everyone you have been most helpful. i have a couple of shoots lined up so will have some more photos soon, thank you all very much!

Selective colouring with flowers... humm.. old hat and clichéd. Its the modern version of the 70's wicker chair shot.

Ian has slightly overcooked the skin softening on some, that or you've been having a little diggle with the images when you got them back...

Im more concerned with the amount of models that get their heels caught up in their knickers... A H&S Risk Assesment should be carried out in every studio across the land to eradicate this potential hazzard.

You have a very nice bum, great legs and a figure that I prefer when shooting.  You also have a bad make up artist, an entry level photographer and retouching done by Stevie Wonder.

I think that what you have is potential but you need to get some better quality shoots in quickly.
