Hello I don't usually do this critique stuff for fear of revenge Member Image    But ~I like the poses on the first four but I'm a firm hater of high key photography.  It's just me I can't stand washed out whites, I like a bit of grey tone in them.  Low key is acceptable.  Your other images are ok but wait for the experts to comment because I am only a guy with a camera and proud of it.

Honesty is what I like....I am starting to explore new avenues...low key / grey / coloured is what Im seeing a lot more off!

I love the pose of the girl in #70204 and the dress she's wearing.  But I don't like the way the background bleeds onto the girls dress.  If you look in the windows of high street photographers most of them seem to use these plain white backgrounds.  I like girls posed in natural backgrounds.  But this is only my opinion - my tastes are probably out of sync with everyone else.  One of my favourite togs is a new guy who I've chatted with from the other site that I can't mention and he goes by the name of Squodge.  I love his work.

Member Image Hi

This is from a student photographers point of view so not a professionals.

I agree about the high key lighting, doesn't really appeal to me. It's very hard to do right and doesn't really show the model at her best because the focus isn't on her it's on the brightness behind.

I like the concept of #70598, cropped a touch to tightly and again slightly to bright behind her but contrast of the bold pink flower against her blonde hair and tan works really well. I like the slight shadow across one side of her face, creates a touch of mystery.

#70208 the lighting could be a bit better, perhaps if it were higher above her, maybe butterfly lighting would suit? There are dark shadows under her eyes. Camera tilt is a nice touch but again cropped too tightly, if both hands weren't visible it might look phone camera style.

#70381, i really like the models expression, good hair and makeup. The vignette i am normally not a fan of but works well in the photo. The far side of her face is a touch overexposed but other than that a good shot Member Image

Hope that helps and i didn't cause any offense!

Ok I comment on this one #70964 The pose and model is good I like it very much but the prop and background is no no! as it's all white the models arm is blending in too much highlight and it's burning out (Thats the word I think!) If it been another colour background perfect but it don't do for me sorry. I like to see the model as one not blending in with the background. Maybe someone will give a better feedback than me.
