It is interesting how the retouching style of British retouchers differs to that of US retouchers. It seems that (in the examples on the above website at least) the UK based source has photos which are good to start with and the retouching in quite minimal and much more subtle, whereas the American examples are more 'brash' (and orange Member Image ).

What do you think?

Hmm.. Interesting site.


I'm not sure I can tell the difference between British and American styles but digital slimming does seem to be high on the priorities list...

Dont do it mate - she'll say 'so - you think I'm fat then' and you know it'll kick off and end up with  your favourite lens shoved up your 'F22' and no man wants that........

If you have Photoshop use the Liquify tool. With this you can literally 'push' parts of the body around, so you can shave off some inches at the waist, arms etc.

Takes a slight art skill though, if you do it to a large degree you often need to fix the whole body. If you make the waist lose 3 inches and the arms are still chubby then to keep in proportion you must reduce weight everywhere for the end result to be believable.
