I can pro retouch for £20 per image. Have worked for Vogue, ID magazine, TEN and launched my own fashion magazine.

I am either very skeptical about the quality of your retouching or i am confused about your pricing. How can you make a living charging just £20 per retouch? Most of the images i retouch take at least 5 hours or so and thats basically a whole day if i am earning just £20 a day ill earn £400 a month. If you have worked for vogue as you said you can not have been invoicing £20?

Wonder why anyone with a track record of working for Vogue etc. would be touting for business here anyway...

Shouldn't this forum really be about exchanging ideas and experience rather than just a marketplace?

I think the forum should be used for both. Though I don't actually tout for business in it just by being active in it I seem to get better exposure and enquiries. So it all works

That's always been my approach; it's an ettiquette thing. My main business is guitar repair and on the music forums I just share my knowledge rather than shout "bring your broken guitars to me!" at every opportunity.

But by proving my expertise people know where to come...
