I am wanting to try and add a standard text title bar to contact sheet with the event name at the top and company contact details at the bottom, without having to add as a layer individually to each page manually. Anybody any suggestions please

I don't think there is anything in built to photoshop to do that when the contact sheet is created but you could make an action and do it that way.

That way you only have to do it once then run the action on a batch of contact sheets and voila.

Have a cup of tea while it finishes.

Hi Rob,

Following on from the PM to see if others would benefit. The way I would do this is to load your contact sheet as normal.

Once created start recording a new action (let me know if you don't know how).

Now increase your canvas size and in the little grid that appears in the canvas increase screen click the box so that it shows 3 arrows with the middle one pointing down (I think that's right). Then increase your canvas height by a couple of cm's say. This will force it to add the extra scpace above your contact sheet making it a bit taller.

Now add a normal text box into this space (this will create a layer for the text) and enter your title.

Do the same as above if you need a footer too but with the canvas size you'd want the arrows in the grid facing the other way and increase height again to make room for the footer.

Once both are done stop your action.

Now for all your following contact sheets, load them, select the action, and click play to run the action and voila it will put everything where you wanted it in seconds. You can then use this for all furture contact sheets you ever do.

I hope that makes sense, very hard to explain without images. Member Image
