Member Notes | I'm Chris, a professional photographer and studio owner from the Southampton area. I have over 18 years experience as a photographer and I'm passionate about what I do and I strive to produce the best images possible. I have a full time, studio based, photographic business for 'bread and butter' work but I'm forever changing styles and trying new things and looking for collaboration with models, stylist and make up artists to create something different and stunning.
Lowford Studio is fast gaining a reputation as the best hire studio on the South Coast. It's warm, safe and extremely well equipped with an in house professional photographer on hand to give assistance and tuition. The studio is also non profit making so the price of hire is kept low for this versatile and well equipped space.
If you come to me for training on one of my photography and studio lighting courses, you won't find self trained photographers packing as many people on to a course as they can to make money.
You get me. Trained as a photographer, using film camera, at the best and largest photographic collage in Europe, then, after 15 years producing stunning images throughout the world, I returned as an instructor to teach digital photography to the next generation of top class photographers.
My courses have a maximum of 6 students on the Pro/Am course and 3 on the Professional Course. I originally wanted fewer students and two models in two studios but it was not financially viable.
It's about passing on the passion and knowledge of photography NOT making money.
